Georgetown University 's libraries have substantial paper and electronic resources available for students to utilize. Georgetown's location in Washington D.C. affords it a rich field of opportunity for exploring medieval art, music and literature. Beyond the University in Washington DC are: the National Gallery Art, Freer and Sackler Gallery, Folger Shakespeare Library, Dumbarton Oaks, and the Library of Congress. Further afield are the Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cloisters and the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York.
