Georgetown Students Attend Dumbarton Oaks "Undergraduate Teaching Day"
The Dumbarton Oaks’ Undergraduate Teaching Day was a wonderful opportunity for Global Medieval Studies students to meet leading scholars and other medieval studies students in D.C. The day was centered around exploring gift-giving and interaction in Byzantium and Medieval Europe through tours of exhibitions, object handling sessions, and lectures. Georgetown students had a chance to experience what working at a research institution like Dumbarton Oaks like and experience the Middle Ages in real life. We even got to touch coins that were hundreds of years old!
